Halloween

“I have mixed feelings about Halloween. Sure, it's my one annual night of freedom and, of course,who could ever forget about the candy? But often it makes me realize exactly how isolated I really am. Being so close to people...and yet never before feeling so alone.” Vanessa Helsing.
I really worked my tail off on this drawing. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I realized that I have never really drawn anything for myself alone. So here is Vanessa, my demon/paranormal investigator character, with the most unlikely of friends on a Halloween evening. She must really be amused with this little angel if she is going to give up her precious chocolate to her. And, of course, the girl HAD to be in an angel costume. Vanessa isn't usually so bittersweet, but I just like the idea behind it. Imagine always having to hide and cut yourself off from the people you're charged with protecting? Who could blame her?
